MD Labor Law Poster Update News, July 2007 -The federal government has increased the federal minimum wagefrom $5.15 per hour to $5.85 an hour. The federal minimum wagewill increase again on July 24th 2008, and once again on July24, 2009 (to $6.55/hr. and $7.25/hr., respectively). The newfederal minimum wage notice incorporates all three of thesescheduled increases.
MD Labor Law Poster Update News, February 2006 -Thestate of Maryland has increased its minimum wage to $6.15 per houreffective 2/16/06.
MD Labor Law Poster Update News, March 2005 -As of March 10th, 2005, all US employers are required to displaythe federal Veterans Benefits Improvement Act posting (oftenreferred to as the "VBIA" or "USERRA ACT" posting). The VBIAincreases the maximum period of health care coverage foremployees called to active duty from 18 months to 24 months, andalso broadens housing, education and other benefits for thenation's veterans and their families.
