Online Safety Training

Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment is more important today than ever before. Yet at the same time, the challenges of conducting safety and regulatory compliance training are greater than they have ever been. Pulling groups of employees away from their jobs at the same time can be difficult...many employees are geographically disbursed... and new employees are coming in the door all the time. Add the increasing requirements to document the learning process, and the training equation gets even more complex. Black Mountain Safety & Health, Inc. has partnered with LearningSpan, one of the industry's premier Internet-delivery companies, to solve these problems! With the Black Mountain Safety & Health, Inc./LearningSpan system, employees can receive training on demand...anytime... and at their own pace. The courses also increase information retention by directly involving employees in the learning process. They can see... hear... and touch their training materials.
Using a powerful combination of audio, full-motion video, text, and colorful graphics, courses in Black Mountain Safety & Health, Inc.'s online library provide the best quality and most cost-effective online safety and regulatory compliance training available today. Based on Black Mountain Safety & Health, Inc.'s award-winning Interactive CD-ROM courses, the courses maintain all of the interactivity and video content of the CDs, but with the convenience of any time... anywhere availability through the Internet.
Each course is 30 to 45 minutes long, depending on the topic. Courses are divided into a number of logical sections, each with its own quiz and test... so information is easily understood and retained.
Also designed with trainers in mind, Black Mountain Safety & Health, Inc.'s online training system includes the use of LearningSpan's comprehensive learning management system (LMS) at no additional cost. Using this system trainers can define and set up curricula...create "pre" and "post" tests...and collect employee performance information. This information then can be viewed online or printed to provide hard copy reports.
The Black Mountain Safety & Health, Inc./LearningSpan online training system is designed for facilities with high-speed connections to the Internet, such as T1, ISDN, DSL, and cable. A high-speed connection is necessary to transmit the fullmotion video that is key to Black Mountain Safety & Health, Inc.'s courses...and which we feel is essential to providing employees with demonstrations of how things should, and shouldn't, be done in order to work safely.
