Significant Labor Law Poster Updates: WA Labor Law Poster Update News, July 2007 -The federal government has increased the federal minimum wage
from $5.15 per hour to $5.85 an hour. The federal minimum wage
will increase again on July 24th 2008, and once again on July
24, 2009 (to $6.55/hr. and $7.25/hr., respectively). The new
federal minimum wage notice incorporates all three of these

- The state of Washington has increased its minimum wage by 30 cents to
$7.93 an hour, effective Jan. 1, 2007. The increase is based on a 3.9
percent increase in the index for consumer price inflation.
