Overview:

Picking up where Trauma Nursing Part I left off, this program details the secondary survey which is intended to identify all injuries systematically and comprehensively. The nurse's role includes head-to-toe assessment, monitoring, and anticipation of diagnostic resuscitation through identification of all injuries. In addition initial treatment of potential life-threatening injuries are demonstrated. Tests essential to the secondary survey, the development of a plan for patient transfer, and documentation are also discussed. This video along with Part I, provides a thorough review of trauma nursing.
