team building safety video 5 min

Except: Building a strong team requires a good game plan. That will include planning, organization, motivation, and controlling. Your staff will need to be a well-trained, qualified staff who are focused on the organizational goals and willing to get involved. Communication will have to be open, and any conflict positively resolved. The team scores when goals are achieved and both the team and individual performances are appropriately rewarded. Developing a competent team requires employers and supervisors to commit to the idea that it’s essential to support each other. Supervisors who want to establish a team should first understand a group or a team’s social structure. The social structure is basically how the group feels and reacts to each other, and the group’s leaders. From the start you’ll need to establish good communications. A system of recognition and feedback to the group, and a good working relationship between them and the supervision. Supervisors should remain flexible. Accept recommendations. Support team members when they’re right, and help them learn from their mistakes. A harmonious relationship will foster the team’s welfare and development, and creates a spirit that will cause the team goal to be reached. Training is a major factor. A team needs specific knowledge in problem solving techniques, communications, and what’s expected of them. Stay focused on team goals, and remember each individual is important also. It’s a blend of each one trying to do the best job possible to reach the goal. Be sure to hold short term meetings and discussions, sometimes called buzz groups, with smaller groups of the team to ensure all are on the right track.
