Significant Labor Law Poster Updates: MN Labor Law Poster Update News, July 2007 -The federal government has increased the federal minimum wage
from $5.15 per hour to $5.85 an hour. The federal minimum wage
will increase again on July 24th 2008, and once again on July
24, 2009 (to $6.55/hr. and $7.25/hr., respectively). The new
federal minimum wage notice incorporates all three of these
scheduled increases.
MN Labor Law Update News, Jan 2006
-- On December 19th, 2005, the federal government issued a mandatory
revision to the March 2005 USERRA ACT Posting. Employers in all states,
regardless of size, are required to have this revised 2006 USERRA ACT
notice posted by January 18th, 2006. This requirement applies even for
employers with no current active-duty military or reservist employees. MN Labor Law Poster Update News, March 2005 -As of March 10th, 2005, all US employers are required to display
the federal Veterans Benefits Improvement Act posting (often
referred to as the "VBIA" or "USERRA ACT" posting). The VBIA
increases the maximum period of health care coverage for
employees called to active duty from 18 months to 24 months, and
also broadens housing, education and other benefits for the
nation's veterans and their families.
