Overview:

This updated program addresses general considerations for administering pediatric medications and presents important guidelines to help prevent medication errors. Techniques for administering intramuscular injections and subcutaneous injections, as well as oral, rectal, otic, ophthalmic and nasal medications will be presented, with emphasis on using appropriate strategies for children of different developmental levels.

Scenes in this program have been updated to reflect the use of safer needle devices, and more detailed graphic information regarding dorsogluteal injections.
