OVERVIEW:

Labor is the apt term to describe the birthing process, which is laborious and painful, characterized by distinct stages and phases. This course details the process of labor, physiology of pain and several nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic measures that may be used to manage a laboring patient's pain.
