Description: MARCOM's "Driving Safety" Safety Game/Videotape Package provides the information employees need to drive cars, vans and small trucks safely, both on and off the job. Most employees travel the roads every day... in cars, vans or trucks... many of them on company business. Each year, traffic accidents claim over 30,000 lives and cause more than a million serious injuries. In fact, motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death on the job. The Package includes information on inspecting the vehicle, adjusting seats, mirrors and other equipment, wearing seatbelts, mental preparation and concentration, creating a "safety cushion" around your vehicle, passing another vehicle, driving at night, adverse weather conditions, skidding and hydroplaning, what to do in case of an accident, and more. The Safety Game/Videotape Package combines a Videotape Training Program with a Jeopardy-style, computer-based training game that involves all employees in the training process. Employees are first shown the Videotape, then they are divided into teams that compete to obtain the best game score. The trainer acts as the game show “Host”, controlling the game board through the computer (the computer image is projected on a wall or screen in the classroom, or hooked up to a large monitor that all employees can see). Each Game consists of a 20 to 25 question match. Questions are divided into categories of important information from the topic. Games can also be purchased alone. Packages are available on 20 topics.
