Significant Labor Law Poster Updates: AZ Labor Law Poster Update News, July 2007 -The federal government has increased the federal minimum wage
from $5.15 per hour to $5.85 an hour. The federal minimum wage
will increase again on July 24th 2008, and once again on July
24, 2009 (to $6.55/hr. and $7.25/hr., respectively). The new
federal minimum wage notice incorporates all three of these
scheduled increases. AZ Labor Law Poster Update News, January 2007 -Arizona
has increased its minimum wage to $6.75 per hour, effective January 1,
2007. The minimum wage for tipped workers has increased from the
current federal mandate of $2.13 per hour to $3.75 per hour. AZ Labor Law Poster Update News, March 2005 -As of March 10th, 2005, all US employers are required to display
the federal Veterans Benefits Improvement Act posting (often
referred to as the "VBIA" or "USERRA ACT" posting). The VBIA
increases the maximum period of health care coverage for
employees called to active duty from 18 months to 24 months, and
also broadens housing, education and other benefits for the
nation's veterans and their families.
