Overview:

Takes a straightforward approach to the examination of bladder mechanics and functional status in the assessment and treatment of urinary incontinence in elderly patients. Defines urinary incontinence. Suggests a dual approach to treatment, functional status and the Katz ADL scale to determine patient ability to participate in activities of daily living.
